Campaign Builder
Campaign Builder
Turn a short brief into a persona, campaign concepts, a funnel journey, and live SWAI apps.
What is Campaign Builder?
Campaign Builder is the SWAI app where you plan a marketing campaign with AI, then deploy it into your existing SWAI apps — planners, ads, webpages, quizzes, webinars, calendars, and agents.
You use it to:
- Describe a campaign goal and let AI draft the starting strategy
- Build and approve a customer persona
- Choose an AI campaign concept (hook, apps, and growth approach)
- Refine the funnel journey with an AI strategist
- Deploy into SWAI apps and open each app’s editor when you are ready
- Check progress, stats, and a Performance Report
Main screens
| Screen | What it’s for |
|---|---|
| Campaigns | List, search, create, edit, duplicate, or delete campaigns |
| Wizard | Steps from identity and strategy through persona and concepts |
| Review | Funnel diagram + AI strategist chat before you deploy |
| Journey | Live map of deployed apps, editors, stats, and reports |
Note: Open Campaign Builder from the SWAI Dashboard. It uses your brand session — there is no separate sign-up inside Campaign Builder.
Before you start
You can create a draft campaign anytime. Deploy usually needs brand assets and connected apps ready in SWAI.
Checklist
Open Campaign Builder from SWAI
Use the Campaign Builder link in the SWAI Dashboard so you are signed in for the correct brand.Brand profile
Keep brand name, website, and audience details up to date — AI uses them when it drafts your campaign.Asset folders (for Social Planner / Blog Planner)
Have at least one media folder ready in your SWAI file library. You will pick folders in Before you deploy.Page Builder / website (if the journey includes a webpage)
Use an existing website or create a new one during deploy.Calendar or booking (if the journey books appointments)
Have a Calendar ready, or plan to create/select an AI Booking Assistant. If the journey includes a booking assistant, Calendar is not required in the deploy picker.Nurturing (if the journey includes nurture)
Be ready to select or create an AI Nurturing Assistant.
Important warnings
Warning: If you see Authentication required or Session expired, close the tab and open Campaign Builder again from the SWAI Dashboard.
Warning: Google Ads is not available in Campaign Builder yet. Use the apps shown on your concept cards (including Facebook Ads and LinkedIn Ads).
Tip: Deploy creates drafts and AI jobs in other SWAI apps. You still finish and publish content inside those apps with Open Editor. For planners, that opens Apps → Blog Planner or Apps → Social Planner. For LinkedIn Ads and Facebook Ads, open the draft and use Launch Campaign in that app before ads go live on the network.
Quick start
- Open Campaign Builder.
- Click Create Campaign.
- Enter Goals & description (what you want to achieve and for whom).
- Click Start Building (you may see AI Orchestrating... while AI drafts the campaign).
- Walk through the wizard: Identity → Strategy → Context → Persona → Concepts.
- Pick a concept with Use this concept, then continue to Review.
- Optionally ask the AI strategist to adjust the journey, then click Deploy.
- Complete Before you deploy if asked, then watch Deployment status.
- On Journey, use Open Editor on a node to work in the native SWAI app.
Note: If AI orchestration fails on create, you may still get an Untitled Campaign with your goal text — continue in the wizard and fill in the fields.
Campaigns list
From Campaigns you can:
- Search campaigns (name, goal, audience, outcome, location, status)
- Open a campaign to resume where you left off
- Edit, Duplicate, or Delete a campaign
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Title | Campaign name |
| Created At | When it was created |
| Status | Progress (for example draft, avatar generated, suggestion selected, journey mapped) |
| Actions | Edit, Duplicate, Delete |
Warning: Delete cannot be undone. It removes the campaign record; it does not always remove every asset created in other SWAI apps.
Tip: Duplicate copies the campaign record (name gets (Copy)). It does not fully clone every deployed app asset.
Create a campaign
- Click Create Campaign.
- In Create New Campaign, fill Goals & description.
Example: “Sell more eco-friendly sneakers to city commuters.” - Click Start Building.
AI turns your brief into starting fields (name, goal, audience, and more) using your brand context, then opens the wizard.
Wizard steps
Progress labels: Identity → Strategy → Context → Persona → Concepts → Review → Journey.
Identity
Step 1: Campaign Identity
- Set Campaign Name.
- Click Next Step.
Strategy
Step 2: Core Strategy
- Campaign Goal
- Target Audience
- Key Outcome
- Estimated Budget
Context
Step 3: Context & Tone
- Customer Location
- Messaging Style — Professional, Friendly, Bold, or Technical
- Content Language — language for generated content (can follow location until you change it)
- Click Generate Customer Avatar
Persona
Review and edit the customer persona (also called customer avatar), including:
- Name, age, gender, occupation, income, location
- Key Challenges, Ideal Solutions, Personal Goals, Benefits to Them
When it looks right, click Approve persona.
Concepts
AI shows campaign concepts. Each card typically includes:
- Title and estimated ROI
- Suggested Apps
- The hook
- Growth strategy
Actions:
- Use this concept → confirm Submit & continue
- Regenerate for a new set of concepts
Warning: If you already built a Live Visual Journey and switch concepts, you will see Switch Campaign Suggestion? — continuing regenerates the journey and clears that progress.
Review
On Review you get:
- A funnel diagram of the journey
- AI strategist chat (Ask AI to change the journey...)
- Concept overview (strategy, objective, growth strategy, ROI, tone & persona)
- Save campaign draft
- Deploy
Tip: Use chat chips or your own prompts (for example “Add an email follow-up”) to adjust the journey before you deploy.
Warning: If you leave with unsaved diagram changes, you may see Leave this page? — stay to keep editing, or leave and lose unsaved changes.
Journey
After deploy, Journey shows the live map of apps by funnel stage. From a node you can:
- Read Strategic Intent
- Open Editor in the native SWAI app
- View Stats (when analytics are available)
- Open Performance Report for the whole funnel
Funnel stages and apps
Concepts and journeys use apps grouped by stage:
| Stage | Apps you may see |
|---|---|
| Traffic | Blog Planner, Social Planner, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Email Outreach, Facebook Retargeting |
| Activation | Webpage, Quiz, Webinar |
| Conversion | AI Booking Assistant, Calendar, Database Reactivation |
| Nurturing | AI Nurturing Assistant |
Note: Facebook Retargeting and Database Reactivation may show as Configured in the journey without a full product setup in every case.
Note: Deploy order builds downstream steps first (nurture / conversion / activation, then traffic) so traffic briefs can use activation URLs when needed.
Before you deploy
When you click Deploy, Before you deploy may open with tabs:
Traffic / Activation / Conversion / Nurturing
Complete required picks (a red indicator means something is missing), then Continue.
| If the journey includes… | You typically select or create… |
|---|---|
| Social Planner | Social Planner — asset folder |
| Blog Planner | Blog Planner — asset folder |
| Webpage | Page Builder / website (or Create new Website…) |
| Calendar (and no booking assistant) | Calendar (or Create new Calendar…) |
| AI Booking Assistant | AI Booking Assistant (or create new) |
| AI Nurturing Assistant | Nurturing Assistant (or create new) |
Quiz, Webinar, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and Email Outreach often deploy from AI briefs without extra picks in this modal. Ads apps receive drafts — open Facebook Ads or LinkedIn Ads and click Launch Campaign to publish on Meta or LinkedIn.
Warning: Continue stays disabled until required fields are filled. Missing new names can also block you with a toast.
Deployment status
After deploy starts, Deployment status shows each app as Creating / Created (and generation steps such as posts or pages).
- Generation can take a few minutes.
- Use Retry if a step fails or times out.
- Click Done when you are finished reviewing progress.
Reopening a campaign that is still deploying can reopen Deployment status and resume incomplete jobs.
Warning: Timeouts on Blog Planner, Webpage, or Quiz are possible. Retry the step; if a page builder worker failed upstream, try again later or contact support.
Performance Report
On Journey, open Performance Report to:
- View funnel volumes across Traffic / Activation / Conversion / Nurturing
- Generate report or Refresh an AI performance summary
Use View Stats on individual nodes for app-level analytics when available.
Resuming a campaign
Opening a campaign jumps you to the right step based on status, for example:
- Persona ready → Persona step
- Concept selected → Review
- Journey mapped → Journey
Continue from there; you do not have to restart from Identity unless you want to change earlier fields.
Common warnings and troubleshooting
I can’t open Campaign Builder
Warning: You may see Authentication required or a missing-token message. Open Campaign Builder again from the SWAI Dashboard for the correct brand.
Missing brand context
If you see Missing brand context, confirm you launched the app from a brand workspace in SWAI.
I can’t deploy
Check:
- The funnel diagram is valid (invalid Mermaid blocks deploy)
- Required Before you deploy fields are filled
- You have permission and credits if billing limits AI usage
Deployment is stuck or timed out
- Open Deployment status.
- Find the failed app step.
- Click Retry.
- If it keeps failing, note the app name and error, then contact support.
Social or Blog Planner needs a folder
Pick an asset folder in Before you deploy. Without a folder, those planners cannot generate media-backed content.
Webpage / Calendar / assistants missing
Create or select them in the deploy modal. Names for new websites may have a length limit (keep them short).
Stats or editors fail after recreate
If you deleted assets in another app and redeployed, Open Editor or View Stats may fail until the journey node points at a valid asset again.
AI won’t respond
- Check your connection and try again.
- If billing is enabled, you may need available credits.
- File attach in the strategist chat is coming soon.
