Content Calendar

Content Calendar

Plan and coordinate social posts and blog articles on one shared schedule for your brand.

What is Content Calendar?

SWAI Content Calendar is the schedule view where you see social posts and blog articles by week or month, open a day to review Scheduled Content, create one-off items, edit publish times, and manage campaign automation — including content created by Social Planners and Blog Planners.

You use it to:

Main screens

Screen What it’s for
Campaign Content Default calendar title — all scheduled social + blog items
Content Calendar Same calendar when filtered to one blog planner’s Generation History
Scheduled Content Day detail modal with Social / Blog Articles tabs
Create new Start a one-off social post or blog
Social / Blog editors Edit content, status, and publish time
Campaign automation Control Social and Blog planner automation from the calendar

Note: Open Content Calendar from Resources → Assets → Content Calendar (or go to app.swai.ai/assets?tab=ContentCalendar). You can also open Calendar or Generation History from Apps → Blog Planner or Apps → Social Planner. It uses your brand session — there is no separate sign-up inside the Calendar.

Note: There is no separate Day view. Click a day (or hour cell in Week view) to open Scheduled Content.

Before you start

You can open the calendar anytime. Creating social posts for live networks needs connected accounts first.

Checklist

  1. Open Content Calendar from SWAI
Use Resources → Assets → Content Calendar (or go to app.swai.ai/assets?tab=ContentCalendar) so you are signed in for the correct brand. You can also open Calendar from Apps → Blog Planner or Apps → Social Planner.

  2. Social Planners / Blog Planners (optional)
Campaign-generated content appears here when it has a schedule. See Social Planner and Blog Planner.

  3. Integrations (for social create / auto-publish)
Connect and map accounts before Create New → Social post, or when you rely on Auto-publish.

  4. Brand profile (for AI elsewhere)
Calendar editing does not require AI, but planner generation in Apps → Blog Planner or Apps → Social Planner does.

Important warnings

Warning: If Content Calendar does not load or you lose brand context, close the tab and open Resources → Assets → Content Calendar again from the SWAI Dashboard.

Warning: Delete scheduled content? cannot be undone. Deleting a social post may also cancel any queued publish.

Tip: Change schedule in the editor’s Publish date & time field. Reschedule there after you open Edit — do not rely on dragging items on the grid.

Quick start

  1. Open Resources → Assets → Content Calendar in the SWAI Dashboard (or go to app.swai.ai/assets?tab=ContentCalendar).
  2. Confirm you are on Calendar.
  3. Choose Week or Month, then use arrows or Today to navigate.
  4. Click a day with a Content Block / Block to open Scheduled Content.
  5. Use Edit to update a post or article, or trash to delete.
  6. Click Create New to add a one-off Social post or Blog.
  7. If planners are running, use Campaign automation below the grid to Pause / Resume / Stop as needed.

Note: From a blog planner’s row menu, Generation History opens this calendar filtered to that planner (Content Calendar title and Generation history banner).

Scheduled + past time Scheduled publish time must be in the future.

Campaign automation

Below the grid, Campaign automation appears when any social or blog planner automation is active (running, paused, or stopped).

Sections: Social planners, Blog planners.

How Calendar relates to planners

Source What appears on the calendar
Social Planner Campaign posts when they have a scheduled time
Blog Planner Generated blogs when scheduled; Generation History = filtered view
Create New → Social post Manual posts under Calendar (manual)
Create New → Blog Standalone/unlinked blog draft you schedule yourself

Planners define what AI generates and how often. The Calendar is the shared when and edit surface.

Common warnings and troubleshooting

I can’t open the Calendar

Warning: Open Resources → Assets → Content Calendar again from the SWAI Dashboard (or go to app.swai.ai/assets?tab=ContentCalendar) for the correct brand.

The grid looks empty

  1. Switch between Week and Month, and click Today.
  2. Confirm posts/blogs have a Publish date & time (items without a schedule do not show as blocks).
  3. If you opened Generation History, only that planner’s blogs appear — clear the filter by opening Resources → Assets → Content Calendar for the full view.
  4. Confirm planners are Running and were not paused/stopped with future items removed.

I can’t create a social post

  1. Open Integrations and connect/map a channel.
  2. Retry Create New → Social post.
  3. If publishing is unavailable for the brand, contact your administrator.

Schedule / status errors

Delete failed

Try again. If it still fails, note the item title/platform and date for support.

Generation History shows the wrong blogs
