Google Analytics
Google Analytics
Connect your Google Analytics 4 properties so SWAI can show sessions, users, and page views next to your marketing work.
What is Google Analytics in SWAI?
Google Analytics is a Settings integration. You sign in with Google, pick the GA4 properties SWAI may read, and those metrics appear in Labs → Performance.
You use it to:
- Connect one or more Google accounts that have access to your GA4 properties
- Choose which properties SWAI should read (read-only)
- See sessions, users, and page views in Labs
- Disconnect or reconnect an account when access changes
Main screens
| Screen | What it’s for |
|---|---|
| Settings → Integration → Google Analytics (open) | Connect accounts and choose properties |
| Resources → Labs → Performance | View connected property metrics |
Note: SWAI only requests read access (
analytics.readonly). It does not change your Google Analytics settings.
Note: Only GA4 properties appear. Universal Analytics (UA) properties are not listed.
Before you start
- Sign in on the correct SWAI brand.
- Use a Google account with at least Viewer access on the GA4 properties you want.
- Be ready to approve See and download your Google Analytics data on Google’s consent screen.
Quick start
- Open Settings → Integration → Google Analytics (or go to app.swai.ai/setting/integration/google-analytics).
- Click Add Google account.
- Sign in with Google and keep the Analytics permission checked.
- In the property picker, select the GA4 properties for this brand → save.
- Open Resources → Labs → Performance and confirm metrics load.
You can add another Google account the same way. Reconnecting the same account updates that connection instead of creating a duplicate.
Disconnect or reconnect
| Action | How |
|---|---|
| Disconnect in SWAI | On the Google Analytics integration page, disconnect that account |
| Revoke Google access | myaccount.google.com/permissions → remove SWAI |
| Reconnect | Add Google account again (or Reconnect if the row shows an error) |
After you revoke access at Google, Labs will ask you to reconnect before metrics load again.
Common warnings and troubleshooting
Google shows “Access blocked” or verification errors
SWAI’s Google Analytics app is verified for production. If you still see a block, confirm you are on app.swai.ai and try another Google account that owns the property. Contact support if it continues.
No properties in the picker
The Google account may only have Universal Analytics properties, or no GA4 access. Grant Viewer (or higher) on a GA4 property, then reconnect.
Scope / permission warning
On Google’s consent screen, keep See and download your Google Analytics data checked. Unticking it blocks the connection.
Metrics missing in Labs
Confirm properties are selected and saved on the integration page, then reload Labs → Performance. If the connection shows an error, reconnect the Google account.
