Create a quiz

Click-by-click walkthrough of creating a new quiz in SWAI — written as a motion / product-video script.

Use this as a filming storyboard: where the cursor goes, what to click, and what the screen should show after each click.

What this motion shows

A signed-in user opens Quizzes from the SWAI Dashboard sidebar, starts a new quiz, generates it with AI Build, then Publishes it.

Suggested length: 45–70 seconds. Stay on one brand. Keep the left sidebar expanded (not collapsed) so labels are readable.

Starting screen

• User is signed in to SWAI
• The correct brand is selected
• You are on Gaxu Command Center (home), path /
• Left sidebar is expanded: logo SWAI.Ai at the top, Quick actions under it, then Gaxu, Contacts, Appointments, Campaigns, Apps, AI Agents

Shot 1 — Expand Apps on the sidebar

Camera: Left sidebar, from Gaxu down through Apps.

Cursor: Hover the Apps row (apps-grid icon). It does not navigate by itself.

Click: Apps.

On screen: The Apps row chevron rotates open. A nested list appears under it, indented with a left border:

7. LinkedIn Ads

Hold this beat so the nested list is readable.

Note: If the sidebar is collapsed to icons only, click the Apps icon and pick Quizzes from the pop-out menu instead.

Shot 2 — Open Quizzes

Cursor: Move onto Quizzes in that nested list (quiz / clipboard icon).

Click: Quizzes.

On screen:

• URL becomes /apps/quizzes
• Quizzes is highlighted in the sidebar
• Main canvas header shows Quizzes (quiz icon + title)
• Below the header, the Quizzes list loads

If this brand already has quizzes: a table with Title, Created At, Status (Published / Draft), and Actions. Top row: search field (Search quizzes…) on the left, Create quiz on the right.

If this brand has no quizzes: empty card with a clipboard icon, No quizzes found for this brand., and a Create quiz button in the center. The same Create quiz button still sits top-right.

Pause on the list so the empty state or table is clear.

Shot 3 — Start a new quiz

Cursor: Top-right Create quiz button (brand-colored, + plus icon, label Create quiz).

On a brand with no quizzes, you can click the centered empty-state Create quiz instead — same result.

Click: Create quiz.

On screen: The dashboard sidebar and Quizzes page header go away (builder goes full-bleed). The quiz builder opens in the same view.

Builder header (top bar), left to right:

• Back (arrow) — returns to the Quizzes list
• Build / Results segmented control — Build is selected
• Undo / redo, then desktop / tablet / mobile preview sizes
• Center title: My New Quiz (clickable)
• Right: AI Build (indigo wand), Design, Preview (eye), gear (Export / Import), then Publish (indigo, play icon) with a chevron for Save

Canvas:

• Left sidebar: Elements / Pages tabs
• Center: page Start with an Image/Intro block — heading Welcome to our Survey, body We would love to hear your feedback., plus a placeholder image
• Right: Properties for the selected block
• Bottom: floating AI assistant bar (Ask AI to change the quiz, prompts, results, or design…)

Shot 4 — Rename the quiz (optional, ~3 seconds)

Cursor: Click the center title My New Quiz.

Type: a short name (for example Find your plan). Press Enter.

On screen: Title updates in the header.

Skip this shot if the motion is tight — AI Build will still generate a full quiz.

Shot 5 — Open AI Build

Cursor: Header, right side — square indigo AI Build button (wand icon). Tooltip: AI Build.

Click: AI Build.

On screen: Modal AI Quiz Flow over a dimmed builder.

• Headline: AI Quiz Flow
• Subtitle: Describe the quiz you want, and we'll generate a quiz flow instantly.
• Field label: What is this quiz about?
• Large textarea (placeholder like e.g. A coffee knowledge quiz with 8 questions and a results summary...)
• Suggestion chips: Trivia Quiz, Personality Quiz, Product Quiz
• Full-width button: Generate Quiz (star icon) — disabled until there is text

Shot 6 — Describe and generate

Option A (chips, faster for motion): Click Personality Quiz (or Trivia Quiz / Product Quiz). The textarea fills with a ready prompt.

Option B (typed, more “created by the user”): Click the textarea and type a one-line brief, for example:

A 6-question quiz that recommends a product based on goals, then shows a personalized results summary.

Click: Generate Quiz.

On screen: Button switches to a spinner and Generating Magic…. After a few seconds the modal closes and the canvas is replaced with generated pages (questions, choices, and a default results layout). Stay on Build so the new pages are visible in the left Pages list.

Shot 7 — Glance at the generated quiz (Build)

Camera: Left sidebar Pages, then the canvas.

Optional clicks (pick one, keep it short):

• Click Pages, then click page 2 (or the second page in the list) to show another question
• Click an element on the canvas, then glance at Properties on the right (label, options, Required)
• Drag Single Choice or Statement from Elements onto the canvas if you want a “manual edit” beat

Do not rebuild the whole quiz here. The motion is create, not a full builder tutorial.

Shot 8 — Results (optional)

Cursor: Header Build / Results toggle.

Click: Results.

On screen: Canvas shows the outcome page (Your Results / how the taker sees their result). Left sidebar switches to Components and Variations (Default is already there).

Hold 2–3 seconds, then go back to Build or continue to Design.

Shot 9 — Design (optional)

Cursor: Header Design (color-bar icon + label Design).

Click: Design.

On screen: Design panel — layout Long Quiz vs Step-by-Step, colors, typography, waiting message, social share, nurturing, CRM lists.

Change one visible thing if you want a “branded” beat (for example Button/Accent color), then close the panel.

Shot 10 — Preview (optional)

Cursor: Header Preview (eye icon).

Click: Preview.

On screen: Taker view of the quiz. Click Next once or submit if the generated quiz is short, so results appear. Then exit preview back to the builder.

Skip if the generate shot already filled the time.

Shot 11 — Publish (end card)

Cursor: Header, far right — indigo Publish (label Publish + play icon).

The small chevron on the right of that control opens Save (draft only). For the motion, click Publish, not the chevron.

Click: Publish.

On screen: Button may show Publishing…, then a success toast: Quiz published successfully! (often with a link to the public quiz).

Hold on the published builder as the end frame.

If you want a list end-frame instead: click Back in the builder header. Sidebar returns. Quizzes list shows the new row — title you set, Status Published.

Motion notes

• Sidebar stays visible through Shots 1–2. After Create quiz, the builder goes immersive (full canvas, dashboard sidebar hidden). After Back, the sidebar returns.
• Prefer Create quiz in the top-right — it is always there. The empty-state button is a good extra if the brand has zero quizzes.
• AI Build is the visual peak: modal, chips, Generating Magic…, then pages appear. A blank starter page alone is a weaker motion.
• Do not use the row ⋯ Actions menu for create. That menu is Preview, Edit, Duplicate, View Stats, Delete on an existing quiz.
• Save (chevron next to Publish) only stores a Draft. Visitors cannot take a draft quiz until Publish.
• ⌘K / Quick actions can jump to Quizzes, but the sidebar path is clearer on camera.

Alternate path (do not use as the main motion)

From Gaxu Command Center, ask to create a quiz and confirm a Create quiz draft card. That saves a draft and can deep-link to /apps/quizzes. The sidebar + Create quiz + AI Build path is the one to film.
