Social Planner
Social Planner
Create AI-driven social campaigns, generate preview posts, launch automation, and publish to connected channels for your brand.
What is Social Planner?
SWAI Social Planner is the SWAI app where you create social campaigns, choose platforms and cadence, generate preview posts with AI, review them, then launch automation so new posts keep appearing on your schedule — with optional auto-publish through Integrations.
You use it to:
- Create a campaign with AI (Social Agent) and refine Campaign Settings
- Select platforms, post types, folder references, and default status
- Generate and review captions (and images) before Finalize & Launch
- Launch, pause, resume, or stop campaign automation
- Edit posts on the Calendar (caption, media, schedule, first comment, post format)
- Connect social accounts under Integrations so scheduled posts can auto-publish
Main screens
| Screen | What it’s for |
|---|---|
| Social Planners | List, create, open, launch, pause/stop, or delete social campaigns |
| Social Agent | Describe your goal so AI can draft campaign settings |
| Campaign Settings | Configure language, platforms, frequency, types, media, CTA, first comment |
| Generate Preview | Review AI posts by platform before launch |
| Calendar (Campaign Content) | View, create, and edit scheduled social posts |
| Integrations | Connect/map accounts and monitor the publish pipeline |
Note: Open Social Planner from the SWAI Dashboard sidebar (Apps → Social Planner, or go to app.swai.ai/apps/social-planner). Connecting accounts is Settings → Integration → Social Planner (or go to app.swai.ai/setting/integration/social-planner). It uses your brand session — there is no separate sign-up inside Social Planner.
Before you start
You can create a draft social planner anytime. Publishing to live networks needs connected accounts first.
Checklist
Open Social Planner from SWAI
Use Apps → Social Planner (or go to app.swai.ai/apps/social-planner) so you are signed in for the correct brand.Brand profile
Keep brand details up to date — Social Agent, previews, and Regenerate CTA use them.Integrations (for publishing)
Connect and map social accounts under Integrations before you rely on auto-publish or create manual social posts from the calendar.Asset Library folder (recommended)
If AI should use brand photos, choose a folder under Choose your folder.Content Calendar
After launch, use Calendar to review dates and edit posts. See Content Calendar.
Important warnings
Warning: If Social Planner does not load or you lose brand context, close the tab and open Apps → Social Planner again from the SWAI Dashboard.
Warning: Delete planner cannot be undone. You can optionally delete all posts for that planner as well.
Tip: Connecting accounts under Integrations is required for auto-publish. Campaign automation alone does not publish to networks without a mapped account.
Warning: Twitch posts require Manual publish — they are not auto-published.
Quick start
- Open Apps → Social Planner in the SWAI Dashboard (or go to app.swai.ai/apps/social-planner).
- On Social Planners, (recommended) open Integrations, connect accounts, and Save mapping.
- Click Create Social Planner.
- In Social Agent, describe your goal, then click Create Draft.
- Review Campaign Settings (platforms, frequency, types, folder, AI images, status, CTA, first comment).
- Click Generate Preview, review posts by platform, then Finalize & Launch.
- On Calendar, review appointments and edit posts as needed.
Note: On a draft planner, Launch in the list opens the editor so you can finish preview and launch — it does not skip the wizard.
Social Planners list
From Social Planners (subtitle Campaigns) you can:
- See each social campaign with status and actions
- Create Social Planner
- Open a planner to edit settings or review history
- Use automation actions (Launch, Pause, Resume, Stop)
- Delete planner from the row menu
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Draft | Campaign not launched yet |
| Active / Running | Automation is generating on schedule |
| Paused | No new content until you resume |
| Stopped | Automation ended; you can start again later |
Empty state: No planners yet — Create your first AI social media agent to start automating.
Note: Posts created manually from the calendar belong to a hidden planner named Calendar (manual). That planner does not appear in this list.
Warning: Delete planner? permanently removes the campaign. In the confirm dialog you can choose Also delete N posts (or you will see This planner has no posts yet.).
Create a social planner
- Click Create Social Planner.
- In Social Agent, describe what you need.
Example: “A content strategy for a vegan bakery focusing on Instagram and TikTok.” - Click Create Draft (or Cancel).
AI drafts starting settings using your brand context, then opens Campaign Settings.
Warning: If you see a failure toast (Failed to generate draft. Please try again.), try a clearer description or adjust settings manually in the wizard.
Campaign Settings
Configure the campaign, then generate a first set of posts.
Header shows Campaign Settings. Use Generate Preview when you are ready. In edit mode, Back returns to the list.
Campaign History (edit mode)
When editing a saved planner, Campaign History shows recent posts for this campaign (or No posts generated for this campaign yet.).
Automation panel
After the planner is saved, an Automation panel lets you Launch / Pause / Resume / Stop (same confirmations as below).

After launch, new periods continue generating according to your frequency until you pause or stop.
Automation
Manage generation from the list menu, the wizard Automation panel, or the calendar Campaign automation panel.
| Action | Confirm title | Confirm button | What happens |
|---|---|---|---|
| Launch | Start {name}? | Launch | Automatic content generation will run on schedule. |
| Pause | Pause {name}? | Pause campaign | No new content will be generated until you resume this campaign. |
| Resume | Resume {name}? | Resume campaign | Generation will continue from the next scheduled period. |
| Stop | Stop {name}? | Stop campaign | This ends automation for this campaign. You can start it again later. |
On Pause or Stop, you can optionally check Remove future scheduled posts from calendar.
Edit social posts
Edit from the Calendar:
- Open a day → Scheduled Content → Social.
- Click Edit to open {Platform} · Editor.
- Update Caption, media, Publish date & time, and Status (Draft / Scheduled).
- Where available, set Post format (Feed post, Story, Reel — Instagram/Facebook).
- Set First comment if the platform supports it (not used on Stories).
- Save changes.
Media
In Properties → Media you can:
- Upload image or video
- Choose from library
- Regenerate image (prompt + optional reference images)
- Set Media URL (HTTPS) or Remove media
Publish labels
When a post is scheduled, cards and the editor may show:
| Label | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Auto-publish | Sent automatically shortly before go-live. |
| Manual | You must publish outside auto-publish (for example Twitch) |
| Queued | Publish job is queued |
| Publish failed | Publishing failed — check Integrations / Retry publish |
Warning: Scheduled publish time must be in the future. Drafts may keep a past time with a warning; scheduled posts cannot stay in the past.
Warning: Instagram Reels require video. Feed images must meet aspect-ratio rules; Stories/Reels may warn about 9:16 cropping.
You can also create a one-off post with Create New → Social post (see Content Calendar).
Integrations
From Integrations you connect accounts used for publishing.
- Open Integrations.
- Under Account mapping, connect each platform you need (Connect), then Save mapping.

|---|---|
| Account mapping | Map planner platforms to connected social accounts |
| Connection status | See which channels are ready |
| Publish pipeline | Upcoming scheduled publishes and retries |
