Store Builder
Create stores, manage catalog and orders, configure payments and shipping, and publish a storefront with Studio.
Note: Store Builder is a BETA app. Features and behavior may change.
What is Store Builder?
Store Builder is the SWAI BETA commerce admin. For each brand you create one or more stores, manage catalog and collections, process orders, set discounts, connect payments, configure shipping, and tune SEO. The public shop website (design and publish) lives in Studio — Store Builder keeps catalog, cart, checkout, and payments; Studio generates and publishes the React storefront.
You use it to:
- Create stores (Add New Store / Launch Shop)
- Manage Catalog products and Collections & Categories
- Fulfill Orders and view invoices
- Track Customers and Discounts (coupon codes)
- Connect Payments (Stripe, Test Pay; PayPal listed as coming soon)
- Set Shipping methods for checkout
- Open Storefront / Live Store in Studio and get a live URL
- Edit SEO & Meta titles, descriptions, and custom URL fields

Note: Open Store Builder from the SWAI Dashboard (Settings → Beta Apps → Store Builder, or go to app.swai.ai/setting/beta-apps). The app uses your brand session — there is no separate sign-up inside Store Builder.
Tip: Store Builder is commerce admin. Landing pages stay in Page Builder. The shop theme is designed and published in Studio, not Page Builder.
Before you start
You can open the app with a valid SWAI brand session. Selling needs products, a payment gateway, and a published Studio storefront.
Checklist
Open Store Builder from SWAI
Use Settings → Beta Apps → Store Builder (or go to app.swai.ai/setting/beta-apps) so you are signed in for the correct brand. Store Builder is not under the main Apps sidebar.Brand settings (recommended)
Set brand colors under Settings → Brand so create-store can use Your brand colors and starter themes. See Brand.Brand File Library (recommended)
Upload product and collection images so Brand File Library has media to pick. See File Library.Payments
For live cards, configure Stripe keys on Payments. Use Test Pay for demos with no real charge.Studio access
You need Studio to design and publish the public storefront from Storefront / Live Store.
Important warnings
Warning: If Store Builder does not load, reopen from Settings → Beta Apps → Store Builder (or go to app.swai.ai/setting/beta-apps). Standalone open shows Open from SWAI — Store Builder must be launched from the SWAI dashboard so your brand session can be established.
Warning: Delete store permanently removes the shop (and related Studio storefront cleanup may apply). This cannot be undone.
Warning: Without shipping methods, checkout shipping defaults to $0. Add Standard or Express rates on Shipping before you expect real shipping fees.
Tip: Catalog, cart, checkout, and payments stay in Store Builder. Design and publish the public site in Studio (Edit in Studio / Open in Studio).
Quick start
- Open Settings → Beta Apps → Store Builder for your brand (or go to app.swai.ai/setting/beta-apps).
- Click Add New Store.
- In Create a New Store, fill Shop Name, Industry / Niche, Primary Currency, colors, and Choose Starter Theme, then Launch Shop.
- Open Catalog → Add Product → save a Physical Product or Digital Download.
- On Payments, enable Test Pay or configure Stripe.
- On Shipping, Add shipping method if you sell physical goods.
- Open Storefront → Create storefront in Studio or Open in Studio, design, then publish for a live URL.

Cancel or Launch Shop (Creating…). Success toast: Shop created — {name} is ready. Editor opens on Dashboard.
From an open store, the Current Store menu also has Create New Store.

Storefront section
Live Store (badge Live) — same Studio / live URL panel as Storefront.
Catalog
Sub-tabs: Products Catalog and Collections & Categories.
Products
- Click Add Product (or dashboard Add Product).
- Modal Add New Product / Edit Product — Configure pricing, variants, inventory, media, and fulfillment.
- Choose Product Type: Physical Product or Digital Download.
- Add media via Brand File Library (Add media / Add product media).
- Cancel or Save Product.
Filters may include All Categories and All Types (Physical & Digital). Empty filters: No products match your current filters. Click "Add Product" to create one.
Toasts: Product created, Product updated, Product archived (Removed from the active catalog.).
Collections
- New Collection → Create New Collection / Edit Collection.
- Set Collection Name, description, image (Choose from File Library / Change image).
- Save Collection / Save Changes.
Toasts: Category created, Collection updated.
Note: Brand File Library needs the SWAI brand session. If media fails: Open Store Builder from SWAI so your brand session can load the Asset Library.
Orders
Search: Search order number or customer name…
Fulfillment filter: All Fulfillment Statuses, Unfulfilled, Processing, Shipped, Delivered.
View Invoice opens Order Invoice {number}. Update fulfillment with processing, shipped, or delivered. Print Invoice currently shows Invoice printing isn’t available yet. You can still view order details here. → Got it.
Customers
Add Customer Profile for a manual profile.
Empty: No customers found — Customers who register or purchase on your storefront will appear here.
Discounts
Create Coupon Code opens the coupon modal (Create Coupon Code / Save Coupon Changes).
Filters: all, active, expired, disabled.
Empty: No coupon codes found — Create Coupon.
Payments
Intro: Connect Stripe for live card checkout, or use Test Pay for demos. PayPal is listed for upcoming support.

Stripe warning when keys are missing: Add your Stripe secret key before checkout can charge cards.
Configure (gear) → Configure Stripe → Cancel / Save credentials.
Shipping
Add shipping method. Empty: No shipping methods yet. Add Standard or Express rates so checkout can charge the right fee (without methods, shipping defaults to $0).

Storefront and Live Store

Copy explains that Studio is the source of truth for the public site: catalog, cart, checkout, and payments stay in Store Builder; Studio generates and publishes the React storefront.

Toasts: Studio project created, Opening Studio — Design your storefront in Studio., or Could not open Studio.
Until publish: Publish from Studio to get a live URL. Managed hosts commonly look like {slug}.site.swaihosting.online / {slug}.store.swaihosting.online.
Dashboard quick actions may include Launch Storefront and Edit Theme (opens the Storefront tab).
SEO & Meta
Sub-tabs: Shop Homepage SEO, Product SEO, Category SEO.
Shop Homepage SEO
Storefront Meta Tags & Custom Domain URL — Custom Page URL / Domain, Meta Title, Meta Description → Save Shop SEO Settings (banner SEO Settings Saved!).
Product SEO
Product Meta Tags & Handle — slug under /products/ → Save Product SEO.
Category SEO
Category Meta Tags & Slug — slug under /collections/ → Save Category SEO.
Delete a store
- On Your stores, click Delete.
- Confirm Delete "{name}"? (body mentions Studio storefront cleanup; This cannot be undone.).
- Delete store.
Toast: Store deleted (may include storefront cleanup warning text).
Common warnings and troubleshooting
Open from SWAI / session missing
Reopen from Settings → Beta Apps → Store Builder (or go to app.swai.ai/setting/beta-apps). Use Go to SWAI if you landed on Open from SWAI. Dashboard embed errors: Failed to load embed. → Retry.
Could not load shops
Refresh or reopen Beta Apps. Note any Could not load shops / Failed to load shops message.
Asset Library empty or blocked
Confirm you opened Store Builder from the dashboard brand session. Empty folder: No media here — Try another folder or upload a file.
Checkout cannot charge cards
On Payments, configure Stripe keys (or use Test Pay for demos). Warning: Add your Stripe secret key before checkout can charge cards.
No live storefront URL
Open Storefront → create/open in Studio → publish. Until then the list may show Storefront not published yet.
Shipping is $0 at checkout
Add at least one enabled shipping method on Shipping.
Store Builder vs Page Builder
Store Builder + Studio own the shop. Page Builder is for landing pages and funnels, not the shop theme. See Page Builder.
